OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:
Responsible for procurement operations at our client locations (or remote) by assisting business requestors, service providers, and the client Procurement organization in the day-to-day operations of our MSP & VMS programmes. Utilizing the AgileOne Vendor Management Tool, AccelerationVMS (or other external VMS, ERP & S2P systems), this position will maintain an organized process for the sourcing, identifying and on/offboarding of external services (RFx management), in addition to the up keep of system integrity and accuracy of our specific programme technology.
The Procurement Manager will oversee the Source-to-Pay (S2P) outsourcing program for a key Fortune 500 client, leading a team of Procurement Professionals and Coordinators. Reporting to the Client Services Director, this role is critical in driving procurement excellence, ensuring cost-effective sourcing, and optimizing supplier relationships in alignment with client objectives. The Procurement Manager will also act as the key liaison between the client and the MSP provider, ensuring service delivery, process improvements, and procurement strategies align with the client’s business goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and oversee the full Source-to-Pay (S2P) lifecycle, including sourcing, contract management, procurement operations, and supplier payment processes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the client’s procurement needs, ensuring alignment with their strategic goals and KPIs.
- Lead and manage a team of Procurement Professionals and Coordinators responsible for day-to-day sourcing activities, supplier onboarding, and contract management.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and development opportunities to a team of procurement professionals, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.
- Drive operational excellence within the team, ensuring adherence to best practices, timelines, and quality standards.
- Conduct performance reviews, set objectives, and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the team.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any issues or opportunities.
- Act as a trusted advisor, identifying procurement strategies that meet the client’s objectives and drive cost efficiencies.
- Collaborate closely with the Client Services Director to ensure service delivery expectations are met and exceeded.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, and supplier performance across multiple categories.
- Lead negotiations and contract discussions with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and compliance with client policies.
- Manage supplier performance, including setting SLAs, KPIs, and conducting regular supplier evaluations.
- Identify and implement process improvements within the Source-to-Pay function to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with client policies, procurement regulations, and ethical sourcing standards.
- Partner with internal stakeholders (Services Procurement product owner, Client Services, IT, Finance, Legal) to streamline procurement technology and integrate with client systems as needed.
- Generate regular reports on procurement activities, savings, and supplier performance for both internal and client stakeholders.
- Utilize analytics and data-driven insights to guide decision-making and identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.
- Monitor and report on KPIs, ensuring that procurement performance aligns with client goals and contract requirements.

JOB EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience as a Strategic Buyer or Category Manager
- Proven experience of operational and tactical buying and procurement.
- Experience of SAP Ariba, Coupa or similar ERP systems for procurement, ideally VMS experience
- Well rounded business acumen – pre experience from the MSP industry will be an asset
- Knowledge of labour and employment laws – in EMEA region is an advantage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, or governmental regulations
- Ability to pull/downloading reports, write business correspondence, and procedural manuals
- Ability to present information effectively to the client, groups of managers and/or suppliers
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) (or equivalent) or equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
LANGUAGE/COMMUNICATION SKILLS (written & verbal):
- Must be fluent in English; any other language skills desirable
- Ability to read, analyse, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to create more advance reports using Exago will be an advantage, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
- Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to communicate with multi-level client contacts and all internal contacts in a clear and professional manner
COMPUTER/SYSTEM SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven knowledge of computers including Windows environments, email, and the internet.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project and Visio.
- Proficiency with SAP SRM, Ariba, Coupa, or similar ERP systems.
- Ability to quickly learn proprietary technology. ERP/VMS experience will be a plus.
