OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION:
Functions as a Payroll Professional in the European Global Business Services centre. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: collecting onboarding documents and information for payrollees, inputting data into systems, acting as point of escalation for payroll issues, ensuring employees are paid timely and accurately, developing and maintaining payroll processes and procedures, and collaborating with on-site services teams and corporate teams to ensure seamless delivery. Maintains standards of professionalism of AgileOne by consistently providing a high level of customer service to the on-site teams and contingent workers. Functions as a mentor for new on-site staff in payrolling processes and also modeling the skills and professionalism expected of AgileOne teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enter applicant information into Office Automation (OA) system
  • Enter payee worker information into VMS
  • Maintain payee employment records and documentation
  • Run timecard reports and follow up with payee or on-site teams accordingly for any missing timecards and expense receipts
  • Validate expense receipts
  • Audit hours and rates, to ensure accuracy between systems (OA and VMS)
  • Export payroll batch (weekly or monthly) and register branch payroll in a timely manner
  • Respond to inquiries from branches, payees, and other corporate departments regarding payroll and reconciliation of billing; research discrepancies and resolve issues
  • Distribute communications, as needed, to payees
  • Contribute to development and maintenance of operations manuals and quick guides
  • Photocopying and other general office duties as necessary
  • Additional duties to support the payroll function as necessary

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, in a fast paced environment.

JOB EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Payroll experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Very good knowledge of local labour laws – considered as a plus
  • Experience with collective bargaining agreements and benefit plans - considered as a plus
  • Experience working in a payroll system
  • Experience with data entry, with high levels of accuracy
  • Must have ability for multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment and with strict deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must demonstrate ability to be flexible and work with remote teams

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) (or equivalent) or equivalent combination of education, experience and training.

LANGUAGE/COMMUNICATION SKILLS (written & verbal):

  • Must be fluent in English (for some positions German may be necessary); also prefer French but is not essential.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations in both German (where necessary) and English.
  • Ability to provide reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals in both German (where necessary) and English.
  • Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public in both German (where necessary) and English.

COMPUTER/SYSTEM SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
Working knowledge of computers including Windows environments, email, and the internet. Proficiency with MS Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Project. Familiarity with ERP and payroll systems is a plus .Ability to quickly learn proprietary technology.
