OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION:
The Director Business Development is responsible for developing, negotiating and managing strategic relationships for AgileOne. This individual plays a key role in developing AgileOne’s sales strategy and then executing such strategy by structuring, negotiating, and closing revenue opportunities and generating deals independently and with key partners. The Director Business Development is responsible for: Identifying opportunities for new business through on-going research, channel partner relationships, and strategic analysis of products and marketplace; leveraging a network of relationships with external partners; facilitating open communication within the department as well as across all departments and business units; and turning leads from outside sources into meetings and opportunities. This position requires both the ability to motivate and manage others and to work directly with prospective business partners and clients to drive sales. This position will aid in generating additional business opportunities for mainly UK but also other areas throughout Europe.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accountability for all aspects of account development and management. This includes prospecting, researching and compiling detail for financial management, such as the pricing of engagements (based on AgileOne management defined parameters) forecasting and achievement of revenue targets.
- Assuming responsibility for all facets of business development to acquire, build, maintain and manage customer relationships.
- Growing revenue within the client account and its affiliates drive additional opportunities post implementation.
- Work with the Enterprise Transformation teams (ETT) to transition account management smoothly (effectively transitioning customer engagement from sales to delivery).
- Document all sales activity into the CRM system.
- Providing subject matter expertise related to Staffing, Supplier Management, and Workforce Acquisition Technology industry.
- Define and execute regional go-to-market strategy aligned with AgileOne’s global objectives.
- Identify priority verticals, target accounts, and market expansion opportunities across the UK and Europe.
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and client needs to inform pricing, positioning, and solution design.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on sales performance, pipeline health, and market dynamics.
- Work in conjunction with internal legal department to process sales contracts, create SOW language and finalize for contract signature.
- Hiring, training, managing, evaluating direct reports (if applicable).
- Development of yearly strategic sales plans, with responsibility to meet an annual sales quota.
- Participate in the RFP-Proposal and Presentation preparation and delivery process.
- Participate, when required, in company projects and trade shows.
- Work with cross-functional teams in presenting an overall solution to potential and current clients. Includes but is not limited to all AgileOne and ACTOne departments as necessary.

This individual will have a proven track record of driving revenue growth through strategic business development, complex deal negotiation, and senior-level client engagement, including experience with enterprise and Fortune 500–level organisations within technology, managed services, RPO, or workforce consulting.
JOB EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- Extensive and proven experience in sales in human resources related activities such as recruiting/ staffing, customer relationship management, business development, supplier management, and/or HRIS technology. Preferred – experience selling technology-related and staffing and supplier management solutions to enterprise customers.
- At least 5 years of direct, outside sales experience.
- Prior experience with the management of sales teams.
- Proficient in structuring complex deals and securing partnerships with enterprise customers.
- Demonstrated ability to identify business opportunities, secure new business and build lasting professional relationships with c-level executives.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills
- Demonstrated interest and success in the staffing, supplier management, and technology field with a strong background in general business.
- Working knowledge of desktop computers and MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Outlook. MS Project, Internet access and CRM tools.
- Ability to learn proprietary technology.
- Knowledge of the application of technology solutions within the Staffing and Supplier Management industry.
- Demonstrated ability to extend customer relationships beyond initial project.
- Bright, dynamic, and articulate with excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Strong financial acumen and can manage accounts to achieve financial profitability goals.
- Ability to excel in a goal oriented sales environment
- Flexible, accountable and a team player.
- Excellent presentation skills/solid public speaking ability
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; five (5) years of industry related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA preferred
LANGUAGE/COMMUNICATION SKILLS (written & verbal): This position requires fluent English. Prefer candidates who have multi-language skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Ability to present information effectively and to respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
COMPUTER/SYSTEM SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: Working knowledge of computers including Windows environments, email, and the internet. Proficiency with MS Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project and Visio. Ability to quickly learn proprietary technology.
