In this position, you will be part of an accounting team to support accounting functions in compliance to GAAP and applicable regulations for a group of companies with multi-state and international activities with locations in other continents. The responsibilities include process month-end closing, prepare financial reports and analysis, budgeting, and provide guidance to less experienced staff members. You will also annual asset inventory audit.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work on month-end and year-end closing including book journal entries via manual input, recurring, or import function
- Prepare, review and research unusual items, prepare analysis, and distribute P&L and other accounting reports
- Research and answer P&L questions from field managers by checking the hard copy invoices or using inquiry access to systems like A/P, A/R, FA, limited Payroll, and web reports then book adjusting entries as needed
- Prepare G/L account reconciliation and propose necessary adjusting entries
- Research GAAP, IFRS, IAS & other countries’ accounting standards and may participate in proposing accounting policy
- Review and streamline process while keep accuracy and in compliance to regulations
- Provide data and support external audits
- Work on the annual state breakdown project for state income tax filing
- Participate in setting up and preparing the annual budget
- Assist with assets inventory audits
- provide guidance to less experienced team member, and assist A/P or other dept with questions regarding accounting issues
- Cross coverage for team members as needed

JOB EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Overall 3 years of related experience or 5 years of experience in accounting/finance/budget and working knowledge of computer systems
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in accounting or related fields
LANGUAGE/COMMUNICATION SKILLS (written & verbal):
- Ability to listen and contribute to problem solving
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English
- Other international language skills, a plus
COMPUTER/SYSTEM SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with ERP systems and data structure
- Intermediate to Advance level in Excel, Word and Outlook

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: Minimal (25%)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Office or home office based role with associated lifting of minimal equipment, sitting / standing, repetitive actions.
