OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION: The Managing Director for India will be accountable for achieving all company objectives across PAN India and off-shore locations, by managing, directing and coordinating all Agile One business functions, including business development and client services business segments, as well as overall operational support. Ensure cross fertilization with other Act 1 verticals and developing effective teams while building and promoting the Agile One brand consistently throughout PAN India. The role will provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders, but not limited to business development, RPO, off-shore and local client services teams, general human resources issues, labor law compliance, risk management associated with temporary workers, worker classifications, contingent staffing solutions, payroll services and supplier management best practices, along with RPO and total talent management solutions throughout AgileOne’s related geographic footprint for all verticals of the ACT•1 Group of Companies.
Will be responsible for start-up or restructuring operations and infrastructure, overseeing licensing and general operations, and developing or enhancing localized service models. This position will provide sales forecasting and meeting financial objectives, and develop effective sales strategies, participate in industry events, and develop and expand the AgileOne brand across PAN India. Will hire and mentor Sales teams, RPO and Client Service delivery teams, and other Operations teams, and will liaise with various corporate, legal, financial, technical and supplier management teams. This role will develop and manage industry and client relationships, ensure teams are prepared to service new client engagements, provide input on associated databases and data protection practices, and support the efficient delivery of RPO, payroll, freelancer, and other workforce solution services.
The Managing Director’s ongoing priority is to collaborate with internal AgileOne teams to develop strategic business development and profitable client engagements. This position will bring forth new ideas for all AgileOne business verticals, to keep AgileOne in the forefront of innovative Workforce Solutions and Technology services. The role will design and establish sales targets and service standards; measure and monitor against set standards, and hold the Sales and Client Services Teams accountable for performance. This position will be expected to provide hands on customer leadership and daily operational support to various sales and marketing efforts, strategic client programs, and look to consistently improve operational performance, and maintain service excellence with all Client relationships.
The role is expected to manage efficient, profitable services in accordance with the projections, policies, and procedures developed by the AgileOne Executive Management Team. This position is also responsible for collaborating with other global AgileOne leaders to generate additional business opportunities throughout the region for all verticals of the ACT•1 Group of Companies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ongoing priority is to establish and grow the business, build client relationships, and provide strategic oversight of AgileOne programs across PAN India and other off-shore engagements.
- Be responsible for India’s P&Ls and the strategic planning and execution of business development and program expansion goals and objectives within the region’s domestic markets.
- Serve as a leader and ambassador to AgileOne’s clients, prospects, corporate office, department leads and supplier partners.
- Represent and liaise with local authorities and counsel, as well as provide operational support for the establishment of new AgileOne branches and subsidiaries; ensure business licensing, tax authority requests, banking and finance, and other company business requirements achieve local authority requirements.
- Develop along-side Global Operations and other sales teams, strategic sales plans, participate in and lead sales meetings (both internal and external), support RFP/RFI sales strategies and responses, provide sales content, and deliver professional sales presentations.
- Meet with, and develop relationships with strategic industry organizations, staffing suppliers and other channel partners. Assist with negotiating contracts and onboarding new partners in partnership with executive leadership.
- Partner with Global Operations, legal, business development, and other internal stakeholders to define and negotiate client and supplier contracts, services exhibits, SOWs, and other legal agreements; while ensuring profitable client engagement and delivery models.
- Overall responsibility for pricing, scheduling, resource planning, terms & conditions and risk management of client engagements through its entire life cycle, delivering profit and total customer satisfaction.
- Design along-side senior leadership, the establishment and delivery of challenging service standards, measure and monitor against set standards, and hold the Client Services Teams accountable for performance across the India’s business engagements.
- Provide executive leadership during the implementation process for designated AgileOne accounts by working with the Implementation Team, Global Operations Team, Client Services Team, Clients, and the supplier partners to ensure a smooth transition.
- Manage the overall contractual relationship(s) by meeting with clients as needed, ensuring compliance of the contract, performing customer service activities in support of the programs, and developing executive relationships with our clients.
- Work with program leadership teams to sell and expand AgileOne’s service capabilities throughout accounts, and create introductions for other ACT•1 Group Companies.
- Determine quarterly and annual revenue targets for each account and is accountable for meeting those financial targets.
- Identify Business Development opportunities for AgileOne as well as the other verticals of the ACT•1 Group within the Indian market.
- Build and expand AgileOne’s brand and services within the domestic market.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES/# OF STAFF: Manage all teams within the PAN Indian region. Oversight for all financial matters, in particular the Profit and Loss results for India. Demonstrate ethical leadership and mentoring for local and other department teams.

- Previous experience as a Senior Leader or General Manager with P&L responsibility and exhibiting strong leadership and team building skills.
- Previous experience in developing sales strategies and account plans for business start-ups and/or expansions in the Indian marketplace.
- Strong knowledge of industry regulations and labor laws across India’s regions, for contingent, RPO and other total talent solutions.
- Previous experience managing complex supplier and client relationships.
- Previous experience supporting business in the HR services industry (recruiting, staffing, consulting, outsourcing, etc.), including a broad understanding of competitive industry technologies.
- Previous experience managing customer service, business administration and HR operations.
- Ability to travel as demanded to support assigned region (including across multiple countries). This position could grow to require upwards of 50% travel.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Master’s Degree preferred but must have a Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) or equivalent combination of education, experience and training in the field of Business, with a keen understanding of H.R. blending with good knowledge of India’s employment regulations.
JOB EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Must have minimum of ten (10) years professional experience; or if education doesn’t meet the minimum requirements, candidate must have exceptional long experience the field of workforce solutions; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prefer 8+ years leadership experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS: Must be an Indian citizen and resident.
LANGUAGE/COMMUNICATION SKILLS (written & verbal): This position requires fluency in English and prefers multi-language skills with other regional dialects within core business regions of India. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Ability to present information effectively and to respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
COMPUTER/SYSTEM SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: Working knowledge of computers including Windows environments, email, and the internet. Proficiency with MS Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project and Visio. Ability to quickly learn proprietary technology. Knowledge of current workforce solutions industry technologies, such as VMS, ATS, CRM, and reporting/predictive analytic technologies, etc.
OTHER SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as mark-up percentages, bill rates, discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume.
