SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Data Analyst this individual provides a range of reporting, audit and predictive analyses to internal and external clients by collecting and interpreting data. The environment is collaborative and team-oriented, yet individual achievement is encouraged and recognized. This person will also help define data criteria, create reports, interpret data, and prepare internal and external documents. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, collaboration with multiple departments and a great opportunity to combine analytical expertise with creativity to produce professional materials for internal and external customers.

DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS :

  • Analyzes large data set from multiple sources to identify discrepancies, trends, and root causes, and visualized those findings using traditional and digital analytics tools.
  • Develops reports and visualizations to support leadership and client stakeholders in understanding and validating results; helps tell the data story by extracting actionable insights from complex data
  • Uses data analysis to audit billing and other critical data sets to identify discrepancies and resolve them.
  • Provides regularly scheduled metrics and analysis for all projects, including but not limited to cost savings, SLAs, scorecards and all reporting needed for Quarterly Business review, weekly and monthly operations meetings as required.
  • Presents metrics to organization leadership as required.
  • Assists in maintaining the application database and generates reports as scheduled or requested.
  • Conducts training and provides ongoing coaching to others as appropriate.
  • Leads the reporting maintenance, development, and updating process and communicates to appropriate operational teams as required.
  • Documents data analysis and reporting architecture and writes user guides as necessary.
  • Develops and implements manual processing contingency plans as needed.
  • Liaises with groups and departments as required.

  • Ability to complete assigned duties within critical deadlines

  • At least 4 years of experience with data analysis and visualization tools
  • Ethical, fair, accountable and professional conduct in all interactions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong planning skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience extracting, organizing, and formatting data for presentation design in Excel, PowerBI, PowerPoint
  • Perform all job responsibilities with total integrity and accountability
  • Proficiency with MS Office, particularly Power BI and Excel; strong skills with PowerPoint and Outlook; MS Visio and MS Project desirable
  • Proven ability to proactively and quickly learn new technologies, particularly VMSs and Act1 internal technologies.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or an equivalent combination of training and experience; minimum of three years of general business experience, with two years of related business experience to position; supervisory experience highly desirable.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Strong analytical ability to calculate figures and analyze complex data. Ability to calculate amounts such as mark-up percentages, bill rates, discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
